Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade
Item upgrade, commonly known as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment increases the stat linearly.
Players can recycle six items at a time to gain a gauge for the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling an item increases according to its rarity and.
Upgrade components
In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade of an item can be a method to boost the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be accomplished by many different methods that include using upgrade components as well as upgrading an item's mark level or rarity. Additionally to this, many items can be reforged to boost their stats even more.
You can find upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available throughout all over the world and are rewards for missions. They can also be made by players. Upgrade components are the primary method to upgrade equipment. These are the items that can be inserted into equipment. Most equipment has upgrade slots, and most require a certain upgrade level. Certain upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while other components offer a general bonus.
There are a variety of upgrade components available in the game, such as universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments, can be put on any kind of equipment, and offer less than upgrades for specific equipment. Glyphs are only available on gathering tools. They offer a variety of bonuses, from increasing the speed at which an item gathers to supplying additional crafting materials.
Select the item in your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. The window will show a preview on the right side of the screen that shows what the expected stats will be after the upgrade, and any required components or materials. The Upgrade button at the bottom will show Blocked if you do not have enough of either.
The number of upgrade components needed for a given item is displayed in the upper-right corner of the window for upgrading. The cost of upgrading increases depending on the level of upgrade and rarity, but can be reduced using many different methods, including purchasing upgrades from a vendor or trading them with other players.
Almost all weapons can be upgraded by the use of a prefix upgrade like an insignia or rune. Many are upgraded by suffix upgrades. These upgrades add an adjective to the name of the item like "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".
Glyphs
Glyphs are a powerful tool to communicate visual information. They move to draw the attention of the viewer and entice curiosity. The animation of glyphs mimics body language, which makes them more effective in conveying a message across linguistic barriers. Home improve the retention of the message by triggering an emotional connection in the brain.
Each glyph has a set of values it can improve a stat by, as shown on the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an artifact. This range is the maximum value that a glyph could improve a stat by, not the amount that it actually improves the stat by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and the quality of the item you're creating it for.
The majority of upgrade components installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without dismantling them except for legendary equipment and upgrades. However, if you have a non-useful rune or glyph that has not yet been incorporated into your gear, you can move it to a different piece of gear by using the upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. This will create a new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.
You can take out the glyph using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item on which the glyph is located will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be retrieved with the glyph shards.
A glyph added to an item can cause it to become unstable and the shards that are left of that glyph will disappear from your inventory once you take it down. You can also add an inscription to your equipment to give it an extra benefit. Deferred Damage, for example, can store damage and then be dealt out slowly to the wearer rather than all at once. This is helpful for players who are taking many hits from their enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens permit players to alter the affixes they use on their weapons and equipment and they can be obtained through a variety of methods, including in mistery boxes or as a rare drop from skulled creatures, or from killing bosses. Each reroll token grants players a new random affix, which is usually superior to the one they had before. Reroll tokens can also be a good method to reroll the stats of a weapon, which can be upgraded for better damage or perks.
Rerolled items are not listed on the menu for item upgrade s, but they can be upgraded. When you press the "upgrade button" you can recycle these items that have been rerolled. This will change the layout of the item's window and let up to six items be selected to recycle. The gauge of level is increased by recycling an item. This amount is determined by the item's rarity as well as its level, which means items with higher levels are more useful to recycle than lower-level ones.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll weapons to upgrade units. A reroll will roll the percentage chance of a weapon trait. If it is higher, the weapon will be upgraded. If it rolls lower, it remains unchanged. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times.
A reroll is a good option to upgrade an item, but users should be aware that it can reduce the total ilvl of the weapon based on the number of rerolls required to raise the weapon to its ultimate ilvl. This reduction effect is most effective for Diadems and rings that do not have any other options for raising ilvls.
The reroll system has been criticized by players for being expensive and it's more reasonable to let players pay for it in the form of money or a food item that would allow players to alter their build without a lot of time and energy. The developers aren't planning to introduce paid rerolls at this stage of the game's development. They're planning to include a potion that will allow players to change their race in the future.
Leveling
There are a number of ways to boost the value of an upgrade for an item. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade which boosts the value of an upgrade for any stat. The second is to increase the effect of upgrading which increases the damage or heal of a given stat. Finally there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to a higher upgrade type. The new item will retain its iLevel, but have the upgraded effects of the upgraded item.
It is important to keep in mind that upgrades are random. In the majority of cases, a better roll is determined by glyphs. However there are occasions when a more or unique roll may occur. In addition, the iLevel of the upgrade will be determined by the type of item, so should you upgrade a rare or unique item to a unique type, it will have a chance to gain an iLevel that is higher.
Upgrades can be expensive Particularly if you're upgrading gear from the standard track to the legendary. The price will depend on the item's base iLevel and the number of upgrade levels it has. Certain upgrade tracks require crests to reach the next level.
If you're lucky your upgraded item will be at the highest level on its upgrade track and gain an additional bonus effect. This will result in a significant boost in the upgrade value of the item. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level, though. Generally speaking the upgrade effect is increased by a value of +3.
The iLevel will also change according to the upgrade path and its base level. For example an item that has been upgraded from a rare or unique item to a rare or exceptional item will have a chance to be upgraded to the Enhanced Defense of the new base item type.
