Items and Upgrade Components in World of Warcraft
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons and armor. Upgrades to common or magic gear are rarely worth it, as rare or unique items are likely to outperform them.
An item can be upgraded up to six times. Each upgrade will add points to the gauge of level of the item.
Glyphs

You can obtain Growthstones from a variety of NPCs in major cities or from the player auction house. You can also collect them as rewards from the Ancient Arena season. These items are used to level up weapons and armor, as well as to improve passive skills.
Once you have enough Growthstones, you can visit any Equipment Enchanting NPC to increase the level of your gear's upgrade. Wire hangers may also cause fires in recycling bins, and also pose other risks to facilities that are processing recyclables.
It is best to recycle only the items that are accepted by your local recycling program. You can check online for a list of accepted items in your region. Typically, Home (including egg cartons and shoe boxes) and paper bags, tissue boxes, tin cans, and steel or aluminum cans are all recyclable. Glass containers for food and beverages are generally accepted as well but you should be sure to rinse them before placing them in the recycle bin.
Batteries plastic grocery bags, plastic batteries and wire hangers are just a few items that shouldn't be recycled. These items could cause fires at recycling facilities as well as tangle trucks and recycling equipment. Instead, you should bring them to the nearest recycling drop-off location.
Suffix
upgrade item can serve as upgrade components to enhance weapons and armor. They can be reclaimed from items which contain them or bought from a merchant with a Salvage Kit. There are many types of suffixes, from verbs to nouns to adjectives and adverbs. Adding suffixes to words can alter their meaning or pronunciation and some even have rules that apply. Suffixes can also be used to alter grammatical rules such as adding the suffix -ness words to make them an adjective or the suffix -ic for a word to make it possessive.
Suffixes aren't just used to give a new meaning to words, but can also be added to the names of individuals and places. For example, a man who is single may be named "Paulauskaite" while married women would have the name "Paulauskiene".
The most commonly used suffixes are those that signify the status of a person like -ion, -ist, -us, -ism, and -es. They can also be used to describe the personality traits of a person like -iveness, or -phoria.
Item affixes can be used to enhance weapons and armor with additional parameters that provide bonuses. They can be a combination between one or more suffixes or prefixes. For example, -Fiery increases atk power by adding fire elemental damage. Item affixes are available for the majority of items with a level 80, with the exception of crafted ascended armor and crafted trinkets.
